After working for 20 years to build a career; one day in August 2010, I gave it all up with no idea of what I was going to do next.

After 12 years of being on a roller-coaster ride, Mums At Work has crossed from being a toddler, to an adolescent to a young adult ready to live on her own. I am grateful to have found co-travellers who are equally committed and passionate about creating a world where women have it all. Vimla joined us as CEO and Anju as COO to scale the impact of our work and transform what it means to be a woman.

CEO, Mums At Work™
After 35 years of Corporate Life, I hung up my boots – 3 years earlier than I needed to! After years of multitasking, managing home, office, children, looking after in-laws and other elders in my family, I felt I deserved a break! I had after all, lead large teams, created new businesses, managed international alliances and had a successful career!
I would get up leisurely, sip and smell the coffee (made to perfection by my husband) rediscover my piano skills, read books and binge on movies and TV shows. And yes, I would keep myself occupied by training / teaching so that my brain was kept active. I would have all the time in the world to travel to old familiar haunts and new, exciting places.
5 years went by and yes, I did all of this except that despite having so much more time on my hands I was still “busy” all the time and never really got down to those books I had bought while the piano books I had taken out gathered dust. There was this nagging feeling that something was missing. Deep down was the fear that 20 years on I would look back and wonder was this really what I wanted?
Till I connected with Jyoti again. A meeting 10 years ago and a few months of working together had created a spark which resurfaced. Jyoti told me that she believed that I was yet to make the best movie of my life and that it would be a masterpiece. We talked, did a deep dive and I did not need much persuasion to come on board Mums at Work™.
I understand the challenges women have to balance the various wheels of their lives. I believe that every challenge is a gift and that we always have the strength and ability to create something beautiful from it. I believe that each of us are completely unique and special and that by shining a light on this uniqueness, clearing the path and using the right tools we can each reach the summit of our Mount Everest, personally and professionally. I am committed to support women to live life to the fullest, to realise their dreams and Have it All!

COO, Mums At Work™
I believe everyone has the power to be the best version of ourselves. I am fascinated by the mysterious ways in which life continuously surprises, enthrals and inspires us while we are leading ourselves on the path of self-discovery.
I enjoy wearing many hats, including working as the COO at Mum at Work™, working as a mom, bringing yoga and well-being to people, and being a constant learner.
In my roles as a coach, teacher and a yoga exponent, I have honed my ability to keenly observe people and coach them to find solutions to transform their lives – physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I am passionate about health and well-being; committed to discover and make a difference through the wealth of wisdom in our Indian Heritage.
I have been an entrepreneur all my life, building various businesses in different areas. I understand the pain and challenges of being an entrepreneur; which is why I am committed to support women through Mums At Work™ to build successful, profitable businesses and have it all.
I have studied Humanities at Calcutta University, Yoga from the Sivananda School of Yoga, and am on the journey to be a Yoga Vaidya.
